Explore St’át’imc Territory
The St'át'imc Cultural Experiences Project is an initiative of the Upper St’át’imc Language, Culture and Education Society. It was created to provide visitors from far and near with the opportunity to participate in an authentic St'át'imc experience. The purpose of the project is to provide a sustaining revenue stream to support the operations of the St'át'imc Heritage and Learning Centre.
Currenlty, four tours are available:
- Take a nature walk/tour of a Salmon Spawning Channel along the Seton River
- Learn how salmon is caught and wind-dried along the Fraser River.
- Take a ride on a unique railway shuttle along the beautiful Seton Lake and observe wildlife in their natural habitat.
- Learn about traditional earth dwellings of the St'át'imc, enjoy a cultural performance and/or experience traditional foods of the St'át'imc at the foot of Marriage Mountain.
